Oval (oblong) style custom poker tables for sale usually come in 72″, 84”, 96” and up to 9 feet long. You should plan to leave at least 3 feet around your table so there is room for players and the poker chairs.
Custom poker tables are made from upgraded materials. The vinyl is thicker and looks more like leather than on standard poker tables. Instead of the softer foam that breaks down over time, custom poker tables use high density foam. The “racetrack” chip rail is made of real wood instead of particle board covered with a plastic overlay having a simulated wood grain. If the plastic chip rail gets cut or burned it cannot be repaired easily. The table legs are made of real wood instead of pressed board or very thin wood sheets with simulated wood grain.
Another advantage for custom poker tables is that you get choices of colors and materials. You can
choose the color of the speed cloth (felt), cup holders, arm rest vinyl , wood stain for the “racetrack”
chip rail and the stain/paint color of the table legs. There are many types of table legs/bases to
choose from (claw feet pedestals, custom pedestals, “H” legs, curved wood
bases, Mission bases, metal bases, etc.). Having a dealer spot on the table with a chip tray is an option. Some people don’t use a chip tray because this leaves a nice area for shuffling cards. If you want a chip tray – there are several different sizes, styles and materials available. Having a pullout drawer (or two) mounted below the table is a
nice feature. Some people prefer to not have a chip rail and/or cup holders on
their table. Practical features are replaceable felts & replaceable arm rests.
This way you can change or repair the arm rest vinyl or the playing surface as well as change the
material or color including upgrading to a custom felt.
Other popular features are a dining table tops (or a conference table top), drop boxes, table skirt (wood strip below the arm rest), lights, cameras, automatic shufflers, blue tooth speakers, decorative nail heads, raised arm rests, logos, etc..
