Christian Slater is older than James Remar was when Dexter (2006) first aired

I was very suspicious since most modern remakes or prequels/sequels these days are so bad. However, I was surprised.
The actress they cast doesn’t look like her and can’t deliver a line correctly
Starting with the intro of the show, they did a great job casting the actor playing young Dexter who could pass for a real son. In fact, all the characters are cast very well, with the exception of the character “Deb”, she is pretty terrible.
They wrote her dialogue well, but the actress doesn’t deliver it with the right attitude or timing
But that’s a minor distraction, as overall it’s worth watching a few more episodes to see if they’ll screw it up or not. Update your watchlist with the latest selection of streaming movies and TV shows coming to Paramount+ this month.
