The 2010 Jaguar XFR sedan is Jaguar’s answer to the BMW M5, the Mercedes AMG sedans and the Cadillac CTS-V. The R models are the high powered supercharged V-8 that make the car go fast. The Jaguar XFR is a four door sedan while the XKR is the coupe or convertible. Like the BMW M and AMG Benz the Jaguar R series are pretty pricey. You won’t have much left out of a hundred grand if any. My brothers ex dad in law used to drive Jaguars but they were nothing like the XFR. The 2010 Jaguar XFR has a supercharged 5.0 liter V-8 that develops 510 horsepower at 6500 RPM It is a really sporty and fast sedan that does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 155 MPH. It is EPA rated 15/21 which is not all that bad for a 5170 sedan. The XFR comes with a six speed automatic transmission and is rear wheel drive. As with all the new cars the Jaguar XFR has all the latest safety and handling equipment. Everything is available at a touch on the screen of the XFR’s 7″ touch screen full color display. It is a menu based system which offers simple operation of most of the cars key functions. You can check climate control, entertainment, satellite navigation, Bluetooth telephone connectivity and even the settings on your IPod. If this wasn’t easy enough for you Jaguar voice enables many of the key functions to be voice activated. Just touch the press-to-talk button on the steering wheel and speak the command. How much easier could it be? The Blind Spot Monitor is a really neat feature that senses a vehicle hidden in your blind spot and flashes a warning. I can’t count the number of times that I could have used that system and I would bet that it would save a lot of accidents from people pulling out or changing lanes and not seeing a vehicle that is beside them in their blind spot To make driving the Jaguar XFR even more thrilling, Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics System monitors body movement 100 times every second to deliver the seemingly impossible- a luxury car ride coupled with true hard edged sports car handling. To enhance cornering ability the XFR’s new electronic Active Differential Control provides enhanced traction to sharpen and hone the car’s ability through the curves. I have a friend who has one and I have always been a BMW fan but the XFR’s handling and performance were every bit as impressive and any BMW or Mercedes in have ever driven. For winter the Jaguar drive control helps with added traction. The Bowers and Wilkins 440 watt Surround Sound System is also pretty impressive. It has an AM/FM radio featuring EON< RDS< PTY< TA and six disc in dash CD player with automatic volume control, WMA. MP3 capability, HD Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio, Portable Audio Interface, a remote amplifier with Dolby Pro Logic surround sound and 13 speakers plus a subwoofer. It will flat fill the passenger area with plenty of sound. Pretty Impressive. There are 16 colors available and 13 different leathers I am not sure that all the colors are available on the XFR but I know that I would choose either the Emerald Green, Claret Red, or Kyanite Blue with the Beige Leather interior Like I said, the XFR is not a cheap car but it is a blast to drive and it handles like a sports sedan should. I think it would stick right with a BMW M5 with no problem. If you can afford a 100 grand vehicle, you should definitely check out the 2010 Jaguar XFR.
