The 2010 Hyundai Tuscon is a really nice small SUV that competes with the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Honda CR-V and even the Acura RDX and The Lexus RX. The Hyundai Tuscon is a lot less expensive though and has a 10 year/100,000 mile limited power train warranty that the others don’t have. For 2010 there are two trim levels in the Tuscon. There is the GLS which is very nicely equipped and then the Limited which is quite fancy and has a lot of goodies. I really like the look of the new Tuscon. It is sleek and aggressive on the outside plus it has a lot of passenger or cargo room on the inside. It has more cargo room than Infiniti FX or the BMW X-5 and is a lot cheaper than either one of them. It even has a power lift-gate release. The 20102 Hyundai Tuscon is powered by a relatively small but powerful 2.4 liter Theta 2 4 cylinder. It delivers 176 horsepower but gets 31 miles per gallon, Hyundai uses Multi-Port fuel Injection and Dual Overhead Camshafts with 4 valves per cylinder and Continuously Variable Valve Timing which makes the engine inhale and exhale with optimal precision so that every combustion cycle produces maximum power from the least fuel. It even qualifies for Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle in crazy California. The 2010 Tuscons use either a 6 speed manual transmission or a 6 speed automatic with Shiftronic. The 2010 Hyundai Tuscon has a lot of traction and handling technologies. standard on every new Tuscon are Hillstart Assist Control and Downhill Brake Control that help with specific situations. Hillstart Assist Control minimizes backward rolling on steep accents while Downhill Brake Control helps the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep downhill descents. Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors things such as wheel speed, steering angle and lateral g-forces. when it senses a skid is imminent, it adjusts brake and throttle input to help keep you on your intended path. The Advanced Electronic All-Wheel Drive is available on all the 2010 Tuscon models. It automatically sends torque to whichever wheels have the most traction. There is also a driver selectable AWD lock that splits the torque 50/50 between the front and back wheels for improved traction off road and under slippery driving conditions. I would want the Tuscon Limited with the Premium Package that includes the sunroof, the Navigation system with the 6.5 inch screen, the rear view camera but most importantly the 260 Watt premium audio system with an external amp and sub woofer. There are nine exterior colors and two interior colors. I would want the Garnet Red with the Taupe Leather Interior. The Hyundai Tuscon is an awfully lot of vehicle for the money spent. The base GLS starts at $18,995 and a loaded limited four wheel drive is only $28,240.
