Now a really nice one will bring half a million dollars at these big auctions like Barrett and Jackson. The 2010 Shelby GT-500 Mustang has more horsepower than any of the old ones and is a real tire scorcher. The 2010 Shelby GT-500 has a supercharged 5.4 liter V-8 It is a DOHC engine and produces 540 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. It has 40 more horsepower than last years model. The boost in power is achieved via the Shelby open element air induction system. The system reduces air restriction by using a conical air filter instead of a flat panel closed system/ The result is more air flow into the engine compartment. The 2010 Shelby GT-500 also features a cold air intake system. In addition to engine upgrades, the 2010 GT-500 also features a redesigned bigger clutch that is made of copper and fiberglass to get the power to the road through a six speed manual transmission. The Coupe has 19′ tires and wheels while the convertible gets 18″ Tires are Goodyear high performance low profiles. It is a real blast to drive and it will flat get you a ticket if you use all those ponies. If you have the money for a fifty grand toy, go for it, it is one heck of a car.
